This results in a reduction in nervous tension (anxiety). Xanax is used to treat anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and anxiety caused by depression. Used to treat Anxiety and panic attacks. Part of the benzodiazepine family.
Do not exceed more than the stated dose, ending treatment abruptly is not recommended.
Treatment should be ended by slowly decreasing the dosage.
